About Us

As referenced in the Pukui-Elbert Hawaiian dictionary, 'kahiau' means:

"to give generously or lavishly with the heart and not with the expectation of return..."

Formed in 2010, and granted 501(c)3 charity status in 2011, the intention of the E Ola Kahiau Foundation is simple: to give back to Hawai'i and it's people as best we can.

There are many different areas Hawai'i could use help in, and as such; there are many different organizations doing their best to assist and/or instigate positive change. E Ola Kahiau is committed to raising money for those organizations in order to help them reach their goals and ultimately reach as many people in need of their specific services. We figured the best way we can make a far-reaching difference throughout our beautiful island home is by supporting those who have history and expertise in their chosen field.

Why would we think we could treat drug abuse better than Hina Mauka or Habilitat? Why would we think we could create a program to steward our marine resources more effectively than KAHEA--the Hawaiian Environmental Alliance or the Surf Rider Foundation? We can't. But we can help raise awareness. And contribute. And get others to do the same. Basically, we will be an 'angel operation' or a 'clearinghouse' if you will.

Our Mission:

To Organize & Execute charitable events for the purpose of raising funds & awareness for various non-profit groups & causes in Hawai'i.

We will accomplish our 'big work' thru win-win relationships and professional execution; able minds, able hands; Respect for our land, love for our people & love for our Island way of life!
